Yugioh Duel accademy

The Duel accademy is a place where kids can go to learn about dueling and train to better themselves. there are 3 diferent levels of students.
first there are the slifer red students- they are the students who barely pass their entrance exam and don't have much skill
second there are the Ra yellows- they are duelists who show great potential and skill. they can either become Ra's after passing the entry exam or by dueling and studying hard enough to get promoted from slifer
third there are the oblisk blue- they are normally either Very skilled duelists who have worked their way through the ranks for at least a year or students who have very wealthy parents.

Recently on the campus there has been lots of talk of the duel accademy either being sold or compleatly demolished. many students have started leaving and because of that. this year's attendance is at an all time low. the accademy once had thousands of students unrolling and now only about 1 or 2 hundred are still attending.

Deck Type: Mixed (But she was given the Dark Magician by an old friend)
Best Monster: Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon
Fact: She can see duel spirits, but only those who are connected with her. She often runs off and comes back inkured.

Ryo walks down the empty halls of duel accademy "without all the students here there is no point in being the best at duel accademy..."

Konomai rounds the corner in a hurry, and slams into Ryo

Ryo falls back onto the floor "watch where your walking!"

'I was. I haven't walked into anything important.'
Stands and brushes herself down.
'If you'll excuse me...'
Legs it past a seething Ryo, her Slifer jacket tyed about her waist.

'why that little...' ryo thought as he stood up and brushed off his blue blazer and picked up his red eyes zombie dragon card off the floor. a vision flashed through his head when he picked up the card, a vision of two black dragons locked in combat. it was too blurry for him to make out so he chose to ignore it and walked down back down the hall too his class

As the bell sounded for class, konomai kept running. Her heart ached in her chest for beating so fast. But it couldn't be true. She had to keep going, she had to make it. If she was late..... being late wasn't an option.
'Argh.'
The wall surrounding the court ripped into her exposed arm. She glanced at it and narrowly avoided flat packing another student.

'Watch where your going Slacker!'

Ryo got to the stadium where duel class was being held today. he smiled as he saw the other students arriving. 'mostly just slackers and ra yellows left. and the oblisks that are left are no match for me either'

Konomai skidded to a halt.
Please, please let it be false.
'Konomai. Do you often let men into your dorm?'
She turned her breathing hard and heavy from the run.

Ryo stepped up as he faced his opponent, a cocky slifer slacker with a couple decent cards. Ryo drew cards until his hand had 7 cards. "i'll go first. i summon paladin of the cursed dragon in attack mode. then i put 2 cards face down and end my turn"
the slifer drew. making his hand total now 7 "you think your good? i summon v tiger jet. then i activate front line base which allows me to special summon one union monster. i summon w wing catapult then fusion summon vw tiger catapult! now he attacks your paladin of the cursed dragon!"
Ryo smiled as the monster's attack came at his monster "not so fast. i activate my trap. mask of weakness. your monster looses 700 attack and now my paladin is more than enough to destroy it."
the slifer student growled as he reluctantly put 1 card face down and ended his turn.

'Phoenix. As far as I'm aware, your not in my dorm. Shouldn't you be in the pro-league anyway? what are you doing at duel accademy?'
Aster laughs. 'I'm not the one in your dorm. What can I say, I got here late.'
He inclines his head and she takes the staircase up to her room.

She opens the door dreading the though of who could be inside.
'Your late.'
She swallows and turns. Dark Magician appears by her side.
A spiky haired youth appears in the shadows.
'Yugi...'

Ryo set a monster card face down. "not so fast!" the slifer student yelled as he reveiled his trap card; acid trap hole, and destroyed Ryo's face down plague spreader zombie. "that's quite a shallow victory especially since all i have to do is return a card from my hand to my deck and resommon him" the slifer was shocked. "this is why your still a slifer. you don't know how to really duel" ryo syncro summoned his plague spreader with his paladin to summon doom kaizer dragon in attack mode. "now i activate axe of despair and increase my doom kaizer dragon's attack by 1000. bringing it to a grande total of 3400. now attack doom kaizer!" the slifer braced himself for the attack right as the dragon fired a ball of fire from it's mouth at him that sent his life points down to only 100

Konomai turns to the open door. What was that power she had just felt?
'Hello Dark Magician, it's been a long timemy friend.'
'Why are you here?'
'Can I not visit my....'
Konomai gasps. A tidal wave of energy ripped through her body. Who ever was duelling, was impressive.

the slifer dropped to his knees "i-i give up" ryo frowned "what do you mean 'give up'? no duelist should give up while there is still a card left in their deck. now get up and keep dueling. even if it IS futile" the slifer nodded and got up, he drew his card and looked at his hand. "i summon X head cannon then special summon Y head dragon with frontline base. then i fuse them to get XY dragon cannon. then i equip it with 7 compleated to give it a boost of 700 attack. now it destroys your axe of despair and attacks your doom kaizer directly!" ryo smiles as his monster is destroyed and he takes the damage. "im glad you did that. my turn. i activate monster reborn to bring back your vw tiger catapult and then i use it's ability to change your dragon cannon to defence mode. now i summon zombie master. vw tiger catapult attacks and destroys your dragon cannon and now zombie monster will attack and finish you off!" the slifer's life points drop to 0 "told you it was futile." ryo said as he walked off the stage to let the next duelists to use it

'What's wrong Konomai?'
'Nothing. Do you want Dark back? Is that why your here?'
'I just came to wish you a happy birthday.'
'Nothing to do woth Kiba being on the island then? It's too late anyway. I've challenged him to a duel.'

Ryo walked to the card store and looked at the expensive duel disk that they had for sale there

"you want to by it?" the shop keeper asked him when she noticed he had been looking at it for a few minutes "no. it's way to expencive. i just want to look at it if its ok" the shop keeper smiled "ok then."

Yugi stared at her speechless.
'I'm meeting him at midnight, I will not back down.'
'You can't...'
'Why can't I?' Konomai smiles. 'Whoose going to stop me Yugi, you?' She laughs.
'I bet you can't even get close to me.'
'What happened to your face?'
Konomai self conciously reaches up and toches the scratch on her face.
'It's happening here, isn't it? It's why you won't graduate and come home.'
'I have no home.'

ryo sighed and walked out of the shop
jewel came up beside him "hey ryo. i saw what you did back there when you were dueling. it was nice of you to encourage that kid not to give up" ryo frowned "i didn't 'encourage' him. i just wanted to kick his butt" jewel rolled her eyes "what ever you say. but i think that i saw a new side of Ryo Akira today."
"shut up jewel. you'll just make yourself look stupid"

'Please, Konomai, don't do anything foolish.'
'It's not foolish. I have challenged Kiba to a duel, and duel him i shall.

jewel sighed "fine. im going to my dorm now" she walked off and ryo sighed a sigh of relief "thank goodness she is finally gone."

'I have to go now anyway. I have aduel in the hall. I would rather you didn't come and watch.'
'Would you mind if I stayed here, so I could see your duel with Kiba tonight?
'Knock yourself out. just don't answer the door to anyone.'
'Ok. konomai....'
'What?'
'Your present.'
She looks at the small bow wrapped gift box in Yugi's hand.
'Thank you.' she takes it from him and pulls of the lid. Her hands started trembling.
'Where did you get this?'
'I called in a few favours.'
She takes the card from the box and slips it into her deck.
'Thank you Yugi.'
